Quicktour creation is a multi-facted process. Many people are unaware of the preparatory work necessary for an effective, compelling final product. Most quicktours involve:
- Strategy & Planning
- Copy writing
- Storyboarding
- Asset creation/illustration
- Animatic/rough animation
- ActionScript coding
- Output, including upload to website
First, we establish the purpose or desired effect on the viewer. Is the intent to inform? Entertain? Perhaps the idea is to call the viewer to action - to submit a form or make a purchase.

Working from your input - this can be a PowerPoint or other collateral or even whiteboard notes - we extract the key concepts, translate them into visuals, and develop a storyboard. Once we establish the major scenes, the actual animation production begins. The animator analyzes how to best lay out content in keyframes then puts your concepts in motion.

Scripted narration accompanies the animation and provides explanation, context, and emphasis. Interactivity, added through Flash ActionScript, also expands the benefits of a quicktour. It can engage your viewers, direct them to further information, or link separate modules with related subject matter.
